On May 19, 2003, Gary Farrington, age nineteen, took part in a home invasion that ended a life. He has never denied the crime. But on November 30, 2007, alone in a six-by-nine solitary confinement cell, something happened that no court and no program can take credit for — an encounter with the Holy Spirit that rewrote the rest of his life. Eighteen consecutive years without a disciplinary infraction have followed. Two degrees earned inside. Two churches planted. Hundreds of men baptized. This is what it looks like when the Lord gets hold of a man.
