Three ways in.Pray. Advocate. Give.

The Gary Project runs on faith, on advocacy, and on resources. None of those three is optional. Every contribution counts — whether it arrives as a prayer, a letter to the Governor, a coalition partnership, or a check. Pick the one that fits you. Show up however you can.

I.

This project runs on prayer before it runs on anything else.

Pray for Gary. Pray for the victims and families of violence. Pray for the officials whose hands hold the clemency decision. Pray for the few whose transformation, like Gary's, has gone unseen.

If you belong to a church, Bible study, or prayer group that would take up Gary's case in regular intercession, we would be honored to send you a one-page prayer guide and quarterly updates. The project has never moved a step without prayer underneath it — and it will not move without the continued prayers of people we will likely never meet.

II. · Advocate

Make this case unavoidable.

Advocacy is the specific work of making sure Gary's case is in front of the people who decide and the public who can move them. Here is what that looks like in practice:

Write the Governor

A short, respectful, fact-based letter to the Governor of Florida asking for consideration of Gary's clemency case. We are preparing a template and mailing guide — available on request.

Contact your Florida legislators

Florida voters: tell your state representative and senator that earned-release review for life-sentenced inmates should be a conversation the Legislature is having. A script is available on request.

Partner as an organization

Churches, faith networks, reentry ministries, criminal-justice reform groups, and advocacy organizations: we partner directly. A broader coalition is how one case becomes a policy conversation.

Share the story

Most Floridians do not know parole was abolished in the state, or that we are one of only seven with no functional pathway for lifers. Awareness is step one. Share the site, the trailer, and the case with anyone who will listen.

III.

Resources are what turn advocacy into outcomes.

The Gary Project is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Every gift is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Online giving is in soft launch while our payment processor integration finalizes — in the meantime, every form of gift is accepted directly: check, wire, stock, donor-advised fund routing, recurring ACH. Contact us and we will send whatever you need.
